...so this is it then. The start of a new career tomorrow. Am ever so slightly nervous but I'm sure it'll be okay...

A quieter weekend than I'd have thought to be honest. Had the chance to go out drinking with my (now ex) workmates on Friday night but decided against it. Maybe it's just me but I don't really like socialising with people I work with - you may have heard of the old saying among roadies of "anything that happens on the road stays on the road", well that's kind of how I feel about work. Once I'm out of there I prefer to sever all connections that I can. Don't get me wrong they're not a bad bunch but with the exception of one or two of 'em (who I go out drinking with regularly anyway) they're just not the sort of people I'd choose to socialise with as we have sod all in common anyway. Maybe I'm just shallow but that's how it is...

Unfortunately, my date for Saturday night cancelled last minute as well on grounds of lack of money (something I can fully sympathise with) So it looks like it'll be some time next week...if it ever happens at all that is... (cynical? Me? Never! )

Nothing much else to say really. I'll nip back and add something later if anything crosses my mind...
