Very rare that I get to say this in my journal but for once I feel quite happy with my lot. 
Spent most of the last couple of days getting up to date with my reviewing. Have to say I'm enjoying it as well - strange but it's a nice change from being out onstage playing (or as the last year's been, trying to get a band together long enough to play some gigs without your drummer/guitarist getting a better offer from someone else).
...Though having said that, our band's finally found a lead guitarist - just need a drummer now and hopefully we can finally start planning out some gigs of our own again...
Off to Star with some mates tonight, Stockport for the footy on Saturday (fingers crossed an easy three points for us against the bottom of the table team) then Rio's to see the Quireboys on Saturday night plus the '80s rock disco afterwards. Which (hold yer breath) I may have some female company for! More on that as and when anything happens...
