Bluetones - "The Jub Jub Bird" (1998)
Not a bad weekend really. The works do on Friday night was all good fun although there may be a few girls at work who I'll be enduring awkward silences with over the next few days as it did kind of descend into a mass snogathon with a few of us by the end.
Ah well, it's all part of the fun, innit? 
Saturday went up to visit my old man in Hartlepool and see my team go through to the third round of the FA Cup before having a nice quiet night down the local. Also picked up my ticket to go and see the Damned at Leeds Met on Tuesday.
Today have been into Leeds to upgrade my phone (I now have a camera phone again! Yay!
), pick up a couple of Gamecube games and visit the Christmas market. I can now safely say that I finally feel like the festive season is here and will almost certainly be re-visiting that place a few times more in the next few weeks.
And tonight, am off to see the Bluetones at the Cockpit which should be a good gig. Y'know, sometimes life isn't so bad after all...

I was hoping we'd draw you in the 3rd round but alas we got Rochdale. I mean where the hell is Rochdale??
Anyway I wanted to ask you, how you kept yourself afloat while you were doing your postgrad? because I'm very very poor and finding a job has been very difficult, I don't have a loan or anything so I wondering what course of action you'd advise?
