Well imagine it's a film and you're the star
And pretty soon we're coming to the part
Where you realise that you should give your heart to me
Now the orchestra begins to make a sound
That goes round and round and round and round
And round and round and round again
And we kiss to violins
...Well some sad people might believe in that
But I guess we both know better don't we?
We know all about the mess
The aftermath of our affair is lying all around and I can't clear it away
And do you think it's easy to find
Somebody who is just your kind?
Well it might take a little time but I'm gonna have to try
And I know no-one can ever know which way to head
But don't you remember you once said that you liked happy endings?
And no-one can ever really know if it's gonna work
But if you try then you might just find your happy ending
Pulp - "Happy Endings" (1994)
So that was the weekend that was then.
Not much to report really - spent Friday and Saturday nights at the beer festival in town with my mates drinking very suspect home brew for two quid a pint. Today I can't even look at a beer glass without wincing.
Inbetween all that, treated myself to a bit of retail therapy and I now have seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy on DVD! Yay me!
Oh and the new issue of "Classic Rock" which is an excellent read.
Spent today in town playing pool and watching football - just the way a Sunday afternoon should be hehe.
Been listening to a lot of stuff from the gothier end of my CD collection this week - the Cult, the Damned and especially Lords of the New Church. I would just like to say that Stiv Bators was an absolute fucking genius and if you don't believe me, go listen to their song "Dance With Me" NOW dammit!!!
Have decided I'm gonna have another shot at dying my hair and go for the black hair look again - as such I've updated my profile pic.
Oh and last but not least it looks as if I may have a new girl in my life - amazing what a few friendly words can do to a nice-looking lass down your local on a Saturday night!! Hehe, go me!!!
Hope everyone else had a good weekend - speak to y'all soon.
