So then...a weekend with quite a few ups and downs (though not the sort of ones I'd have preferred but that's for another post not this 'un hehe
)
Had a quiet Friday in - went to my local for a pint and spent the rest of it playing on "Mario Kart" - always good fun.
Then on Saturday, I went out and got meself a new Gameboy plus "Legend of Zelda" which has cheered me up a bit. Also got rid of a few of my older albums to the CD exchange.
Saturday night went to Rio's in Bradford (local rock club). Things didn't initially get off to a great start thanks to the abysmal band playing there who basically consisted of three Strokes wannabes plus a lead singer who had one of the worst fashion senses I've seen all year - afro plus leather trews anyone?
Add to this the less-than-inspiring music which brought back memories of Lister's "Om" song from Red Dwarf and you get the picture.
But fortunately the rock disco afterwards was as fantastic as always - much Jagermeister, JD and Newky Broon was drunk and the other lads had a good laugh at me leaping around the dancefloor like a madman when they played "I Wanna Go Where The People Go".
Today has, inevitably, been spent recovering - gonna spend the evening playing Megaman on the Gamecube I think - should be good. Also have to finish tidying my room - at present I can see about 50% of the floor so if I can get that up to 75% I'll consider it a job well done.
As for next week, got two cinema trips lined up to see "Shrek 2" and "Fahrenheit 9/11" at some point and will hopefully also finally be meeting Leeds' resident SG, the very lovely India for a couple of drinks one night which should be good, 'specially with me missing the Stoke meet this weekend.
Oh yeah, I got a group started on here as well!! Any other Britpunk fans out there, you might like this...go on sign up, you know you want to!!
Oh and I patched things up with my dad as well - he was honest enough to give me a call on Saturday and apologise for being such an arsehole to me and my mum last weekend so I've just about forgiven him for it. Hopefully it won't happen again.
