Seems everybody's gone
Must've been a neutron bomb
The town's the same yet bare
Senseless Things - "Everybody's Gone" (1991)
Is it just me or is the site unusually quiet at the moment? My theory - students having exams. Or summat.
Anyway, feeling a bit better today thanks and sorry about the massive whinge in the last journal entry. Big thanks again to everyone who left a nice comment.
So yeah, I'm still very apprehensive about quitting this job even though I know it's probably the right decision but I think it mainly stems from not having anything lined up once I finish (the agency are currently looking for me apparently but is that a good thing or a bad thing I wonder?
)
On the bright side, I'm off property hunting in Headingley (Leeds' student district) with my long-suffering sidekick primate on Sunday so fingers crossed we should find something affordable that agrees with us both and can get on with the business of getting terms on it. Also intend to draw up a sort of virtual stock list for the shop in the next few days to give a sort of idea what we're looking at spending on merchandise etc.
Tomorrow should also be good - off to a gig at the Vine followed by Rock of Ages for some old-skool metal fun. Rock 'n' roll, as they say.
Last few days have been a bit dull to be honest - main occupation of my time seems to have been working on the Primitive Promotions website. Feel free to go have a browse if you wanna - ooh and if you do, don't forget to say something nice on the guestbook. Go on, pleeeease...
Well, at least my schedule looks like getting nice and busy again soon - next weekend I'm off to Stoke to daisy and munchkin's Resurrection night (if anyone else fancies meeting up with us all and seeing Cherry and Asha shakin' their funky thang onstage, there's a thread on SGUK with more details. Then of course, there's the Manc meet two weeks after that and then a week later...
DOWNLOAD!!!
Yay!
Also gonna be phoning my old mate the_bear tonight - she's currently off the site as she has no Internet but should be returning next month after a long time away (and hopefully coming to the Manc meet and Download as well) so everyone go say hi to her when she does alright? That's an order!!
So feeling a bit better then. Here's hoping it continues. And that everyone else has a good weekend as well - I think we all deserve it!!
Laterz,
Yorkie
