9:15 on a Sunday morning - this whole "updating the journal at weird times" seems to be becoming a recurring theme this weekend. But anyway...
So Friday I went to the Manchester meet and had a great time. Few messages to various people - Asha and matt_organic, it was good to meet you guys at long last. Hopefully we can all do it again some time soon. Fallen_Seraph, good to meet you too dude albeit somewhat briefly. And last but not least, Wrathchild and Perversia, thanks for looking after a very nervous out-of-towner during the early part of the evening. Big "you're alright you" to the pair of yers. And to everyone, sorry I had to do the off so early - I promise if we have another meet after the season ends, I shall definitely be out for the duration.
Also saw "Starsky and Hutch" at the flicks on Friday which was actually a lot better than I expected. For anyone who's not yet seen it...yeah, I reckon I'd recommend it. At some point this week I plan to go and see "Scooby Doo 2" (being as I am one of seemingly about five people who thought the first one was actually quite good
) and "Girl Next Door" (which I'm ashamed to say actually looks quite funny ). Erm, I'm just digging myself into a hole here, aren't I? 
Saturday I saw my team chalk up a very useful three points at the expense of Bournemouth - play-offs here we come? Well, here's hoping...
Also went to the pub last night with primate to set everything in motion regarding this record shop - we seem to now have a basic idea of what we plan to do, it's just a question of getting off our lazy arses and doing it! More news when I have it on that front.
The only downer about yesterday was getting on the last bus home and finding some idiot had posted some stickers advertising some verminous racist sub-BNP Nazi party above the exit door at the back.
Seeing that sort of out-and-out ignorance being advertised makes me both angry and sad so I did what any decent person would've done - peeled 'em off, tore 'em up and dropped the scraps out of the window as we were driving through the middle of nowhere. Good deed for the day completed I think.
Rest of the weekend (all three days of it - yay!
) shall be spent playing on the Gamecube, watching videos with the odd trip to the pub and shops interspersed. Now that's living! Just a shame I have to go back to this crappy dead-end job I'm currently stuck in at all but I guess you can't have everything.
