Days when you wake in the morning
With the sun streaming through the blinds
Times when the living is easy
And you know things are goin' alright
Ash - "Trex" (1996)
So, update time then. Just got back from a one and a half hour walk, the second night in a row I've done this. Given that I've got the same sort of aversion to exercise that the average townie has to words longer than five letters, this is a bit out of character for me but basically, we've had some nice weather up here for once and I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to finally get rid of some of the weight I've put on over winter. Needs must as the devil drives his scooter and all that.
It's actually been a lot more relaxing than I thought it would be - there's something great about being able to just go for a walk through the park down to the reservoir here and get some fresh air after spending eight hours of your day cooped up in an office.
Anyway, things I plan to do tonight:
1) Get some of those CD's I'm trying to flog up on Ebay at long last.
2) Do a bit of downloading off my local friendly music site - I'm in a bit of a hardcore punk mood at the mo so I'm guessing a bit of Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Bad Brains etc may be zipping its way to my computer some time in the next few hours. Don't tell the police.
3) Check for gig venues in various places - me and primate have hit upon the idea of taking some of the bands we manage off around the country next summer if the agency continues to prosper. It should be good fun...I think...
4) Do a few updates to my various websites - a couple of 'em badly need bringing up to date due to me being a lazy bugger.
And tomorrow I'm either off to see "Shaun Of The Dead" or for a curry in Bradford with my little sis who's currently home from Uni. Should be fun either way.
Hope everyone's having a good week - speak later.
