• Well whaddaya know, it appears that I have a date next week! (does celebratory lap of room)



• Why is it that when I'm trying to write songs sober I tend to struggle yet once I've had five pints I can simply strap on my guitar and come up with two-minute prime slices of comedy gob-punk with titles like "Emo Kids Fuck Off" and "NME (Bag O'Shite)"? All good fun but not the sort of stuff that's gonna work with my current band really. Maybe I should start up a side project or something.



• Dressed To Kill were goddam awesome last night. You could tell these guys really love what they do - all four of 'em had got the whole Kiss thing down to a tee. Though it almost goes without saying that the biggest cheer of the evening came when they played "Crazy Crazy Nights".



• Even better was finding out that Bradford Rio's are now doing an all-out glam night on the first Saturday of each month. Put it this way, you know you're on to a winner when you go in and the first three songs you hear are "Rip 'n' Tear" by LA Guns, "Bombed Outta My Mind" by the Backyard Babies and "Blackout In The Red Room" by Love/Hate. I think my attendance at this place will become a much more regular occurrence in the months ahead. Oh yes.



• I haven't slept since Thursday night. I hate hot weather.



• New Wildhearts album coming soon! News like this makes Yorkie a happy bunny.
