Just when you think it can't get any worse...

Well THAT was a shit week. Not only do I now have no job, I also have no girlfriend as well.

Roll on London...I badly need to get out of this shitsville excuse for a town and all the baggage it currently brings with it. frown

Strange day... confused

Just got back from a mate's wedding - he's just got hitched to the girl he originally went out with at Uni then split up with and then got back together with. Good luck to the both of 'em I say, it's actually quite sweet imo.

(although mind you I could've told quite a few stories about his exploits in the time between...

Shit... frown

...just when you think the corner's been turned, there's inevitably a lorry waiting to flatten you.

Have found out today that I am going to be unemployed at the start of next month for the first time in nearly three years. Basically the company I joined in March (no names mentioned but its ads are fronted by an extremely annoying twat called Howard) have...

Just a quick update this 'un as I'm off out in half an hour or so to my mate's band's gig. It may also be my last entry for a few days as I'm stupidly busy on evenings at the moment but rest assured I'll try and get another update done before the end of the week.

A few random thoughts:

* Wasted next week!...

It's bizarre how there's a festival for every single subculture in Morecambe. I only found out there's a goth festival there recently, which I find highly amusing since I come from near there and it has to be the least goffick place in Britain. Apart from maybe Swindon.

There's another Bill Bailey DVD?!?! eeek

Aaaah... Hanoi Rocks! Awesome!
and good luck with the band dude! you sound like you know what you're doing (well as much as anyone in a band ever does!)

Bit of a disappointing weekend to be honest... frown

For those of you who missed it, Friday night was a superb gig - all three bands, Project 506, the Retrose and Pornovurt put on absolutely storming sets. It's just a shame it was wasted due to a thoroughly lousy attendance. I dunno why this was as we advertised the gig well enough and were sure a...

Thank you smile I'm half looking forward to starting a new job, half annoyed that I'm going to actually have to work again.
Shame about the gig, it's annoying when the turn out isn't as good as it should be. I always want to forcibly drag people in off the street - "look at what you're missing!"

Cheers for the comments on the last journal folks - rest assured part 2 will follow soon enough. smile

Would be cool to see them working in TK Maxx. Rather than just shopping there ZING!

LISTENING TO: Voice of the Beehive - "Honeylingers"

The weekend is upon us. And it will rock. For the following reasons:

1) Just got out of work, went for a quiet drink with a couple of peeps in my department and cleaned twenty quid out of the fruity! biggrin That's tonight's pub/takeaway money sorted I think... wink

2) Seeing my sort-of-gf tomorrow evening for...

OMG "Honey Lingers"!!! not played that for years!

blast from the past though - we used to hang out with beehive at their place in stoke newington years ago! Mike Jones produced my first bands demos, with help from Steve Mack from That Petrol Emotion that lived with Tracey Beehive!

he turned out to be our best ally - i wonder what Steve is doing now?
