The story goes that when Johnny Cash met June Carter they were backstage at the Grand Ole Opry and both were married. June had dropped something and Johnny walking by bent down to pick it up. When he came back up he saw June's face. He iimmediately asked her to marry him. Lauaghing, June replied "You're already married, and so am I for that matter". To this Johnny said "I know but we can fix that". Shortly thereafter they got married and remain together until June died last year and Johnny shortly thereafter of a broken heart.
