i'd like to say something profound here. but really, i'm just busy as hell with work (as usual) and looking foward to a break or two coming up.

I LOVE the new Serj cd 'Elect the Dead'. it's my 'cd of the year' for...

i keep wakin up multiple times a night. mostly around 4, 6 and 8.
no idea why. not really anxious about anything other than the football pool that i've ruled all year long and today is the final day to see if i take it for megabucks or just semi-megabucks.
must be that. i dunno.

The hotel i'm at in Irvine is right next to the train tracks, and I mean like 15 feet from my window to the tracks! It's awesome. I switched to this one today because the previous one had painfully slow internet and I couldn't do any work. I'm pretty sure I'll sleep thru the trains. Crazy things is, the frieght trains you can hear coming...

I live in front of a road that's a link between the two only highways of the isle. So if I want to sleep later than 6.30 I have to sleep with earplugs too. Moreover it's in front on the port and boats seem to have fun in the morning with the klaxons!
abbiss:
Go back in my dear so eaaaasy elitist school in Belgium....

today is the 1st day of a 4 day 32 hour license upgrade class. ugghhh. it's gonna be so fkn boring!!!
at least tongiht i have almost courtside to see the horrible clippers play the semi awful bucks.
but really ... 4 days of 9-5 boredom. damn.
here we go.

Well, try to have fun anyway. I'd rather sit thru 4 days of insurance seminars or Amway meetings than watch 15 minutes of basketball, regardless of the teams. biggrin

abbiss:
Hey sweetie! Just think about other things to make time passing quicker!

No big news to speak of. As usual, I'm just overdosing on sports (live and on tv) and bouncing around the west coast working. Gonna go see some Yao Ming tonight in Sacto.

boss tryin to sell me hard on working the shitload of foreclosures up in stockton/modesto/sacto area.
not very excited about that area but there's a ton of work and oakland/s.f. is only 70 or so miles away for shows/ballgames/etc......

probly gonna try it on for size in 2 weeks and see how it flows.

My wife is an engineer, and she's designed concrete pads for those windmills. She asked one of her clients how they made money from the windmills, and he told her that without government subsidies, it wouldn't be profitable. Those circles are solar energy farms, and they make more $$$ than the wind farms.

Good racing this weekend. I'm bailing from SG, but I'd like to hook up for a beer at a race sometime. Leave me your email at todd.stimpson@gmail.com or david@stimpsondesign.com.

catprincess:
Yes !!!
I know them

Well, don't keep us in suspense--tell us how it was!

Is that a Honda Dream Touring 250 in the lower-right-hand corner? I'm restoring one of those right now.

I spent a month in Palmdale one week. I've got a friend building a school out there right now--he works for CalPacific Construction. Did you see the huge pileup on 14 due to the dust storm yesterday? Nasty. I wouldn't live in the Antelope Valley on a dare.

I won't be able to make it to Laguna Seca--I've got a client coming in from Denver to go to Mexico for a buying trip--stone mantles for their fireplace, fountains, etc. If they weren't such an important client to me, I'd bail. Oh, well. I'll be there for the Champ Car race next Summer, at least.

That motorcycle graveyard is something. Is it a pick-a-part place?
