So, I met Ben Folds on Friday after his show at Roseland Theater in Portland.
A brief rundown.
Showed up two hours before the show. Got a great spot in line, and then succeeded in getting a great spot directly in front of the stage.
Steel Train opened. Great act.
My ears about exploded when Ben came on and started his set. I probably screamed like a woman a few times but hell, it's Ben Folds so I keep all masculinity points.
After the show, we decided to chill by the tour bus while the teenie boppers stayed inside thinking they would get to meet the band. Poor teenie boppers. After a fifteen minute wait, Ben came out of the gates and chilled with the ten-to-fifteen people who were smart enough to chill out by the bus. I got my ticket signed. Sadly, the camera was broken so no picture with Ben. But the ticket is good enough for me. Hell. Yes.
