Daenerys Targaryen's sole claim to power is dragons. If she didn't have the dragons she'd be less than a nobody dead in the desert. She isn't smarter than anyone else, isn't more determined, she isn't persuasive, and she isn't stronger than anyone else. Tyrion could out smart her if he was black out drunk, she couldn't beat Arya in a staring contest, and she has never picked up a sword.
Giving someone a superweapon doesn't make them a strong or interesting character. It's a crutch. Daenerys is a weak character with no strengths of her own, given a nuke and plot armor greater than Batman's in order to compensate for her lack of ANY character strengths. She never has saved the day on her own and has never been in any danger, on a show that puts EVERY character in danger.
