So I finally got on SG about 1 week ago now. I have been a facebook fan for a long time. Had I known what an awesome community I would find here, I would have been on much sooner.
My girlfriend of 5 years and I broke up a little over a month ago now. I haven't really let it slow me down, beyond a few sleepless nights and shed tears. We have decided to remain close friends. We are both pretty introverted (I'm simply a well trained one) and have few friends, let alone anyone else in our lives who knows us as well as we know each other. So now I finally get to figure out who I am as a single adult. Woo?
I graduated from a Pharmacy Tech program in June and began working as a Tech in July. I moved around a lot at first working at different locations on the west side of the Portland area, and have been settled in at a location in the Hollywood district since September.
I have been dying to pick up my camera again and start shooting, just have to find a 35mm enlarger so I can actually print my photos. Yes I still shoot analog. I'm one of those people who like doing certain things the old fashioned way. I go after blackberries in the yard with a machete, not a weed whacker. I break up larger fallen branches with an axe and chop my own firewood. Because it's just more fun to me.
I went to an Arts high school. I studied photography, writing, music and theater. Music is what I remain most active with at the moment.
I could write this for ages. I won't, however, because I run the risk of boring anyone who chooses to read it. If you are for some reason curious feel free to ask whatever you like (see also my earlier blog, lol).
