Think I'm getting sick, which is lame as hell. Been napping like a fiend over the past few days. I even backed out of a date with my not-girlfriend so I could stay home and get work done. Also need to rest up for tomorow, since the BBS Reunion is probably going to kick my feeble ass.
For the most part, thogh, today has been moderately productive. (I'd give it a C+) Went through about half the Lit. Mags in Writer's Marketplace, cooked an enormous amount of eggs benny, did the dishes, and lost 15 dollars in onilne poker. I've also read about half of my new book, _Why Dogs Chase Cars_ (FYI: It''s because they don't have thumbs to tie a noose. It works in context.)
Monday I start the second leg of my student teaching bonanza. I'm not looking forward to it, but afterwards I'll have state approval to tell children encouraging lies and jingoistic falsehoods. (Also that Eleanor Roosevelt was a Lesbian, James Buchanan was Homosexual, the Atom Bomb had nothing to do with the Japanese, and the hard drinking proclivities of our forefathers.)
Drank absinthe last night, but didn't write. Tonight I'm drinking beer and doing alright. I think the key is to start sober then slowly get twisted. Starting out wrecked is terrible for production.
Deadwood is just starting, Carnivalle is about to wrap up, and it's wonderful kite flying weather. Magnificent.
