Sitting at work drinking a beer and being hungry as fuck. Thought I'd be able to con my dad out of a free lunch, but he's out watching the Grizz. Can hardly blame him, though, since one of our men just took us for a $900 ride on the company card, plus about $2000 in advances. Fucking cock is probably going to quit before we garnish anything worthwhile.

My favorite student is leaving tomorrow. How sad! Of course, I'm leaving next friday, so whatever.

Last night I finally broke past some of my mental blockage and got a page of revised/rewritten story down on paper. I think this is going to turn out to be pretty good, and way better than the story it's a rewrite of. If it ends like it started, I might put it on my McSweeney's Submission short-list. Might work on it more tonight, if i'm feeling up to it. Trying to get it done before K gets back into town so I can force her to read and critique. (For clairty purposes, K will be the girl I'm engaging in awkward pre-dating rituals with, while S will be the girl I have a large crush on.)

Watched Magnolia sunday, which is a long as fuck movie. Good, but not 3 hours good.

Edited to say: On sunday I also made Eggs Benedict. They were fucking great.
