I've been reading _Stories of Your Life (And Others)_ again, this time not in order.

This time around, I'm somewhat less in awe. His ideas are powerful and his prose is tight. *Very* tight. Still, I notice some problems (tense shifts, etc.) that make me someone happy -> even great writers make mistakes. Still, *less* in awe is far from being *not* in awe, and I'll still keep trying to cram this book down people's throats.

In random news, this strange "just say whatever is on your mind" thing is working out well. It seems that my theory is correct, and those things I say really *are* what everyone else is thinking.

Part of me things this is a bad thing to do, part of me thinks more people ought to do it.
