Happy New Year, all. So it goes.
New Years party went well. 3 kegs and about a dozen cases of various booze, and I didn't even get drunk. Too busy having to deal with everyone and their mother (well, MY mother) trying to be all social and "it's been so long!" Oh well. It's amazing to me that I have friends at all, what with me being a reclusive a-hole and all.
Things are going alright with the Girl-Cohabitation-Unit, too, I suppose. No big fights or anything yet, and she's way cleaner than me, so that's a plus. My friend had his 30th B-day party on Sunday where I went from short stack to #2 winner, (recooping the 50 dollar buy in plus the 100 dollars I gave friend to pay for some of his top shelf Scotch.)
So far, "Crossing the Uncanny Valley" has been well received, and someone who is crazy intimidating when it comes to these things said it was the best thing to date. Which, I suppose, might not *actually* be a compliment, but I'll take it. Should start on another battery of revisions soon. Am at present still in No Project Land, though I do have about seven lines of a script and a desk full of scratch notes with ideas. Maybe something will hit me.
School also started again. I was going to do some work in that regard today, but I ended up reading until I accidentallyish took a nap instead. Doh! So it goes.
