So, I feel moderately accomplished.
Last night, I resolved some outstanding issues in the dealing-with-the-other-sex department, which I feel pretty good about. Today, I read some preacher, brewed up some coffee, then attacked "Crossing the Uncanny Valley" for real. I've bashed my head against this one section time and time again, only to walk away. Finally managed to break through it today (I think staying sober helped). It's not as good as the older parts, and the voice is all screwed up, but Production > Stagnation, and it's nothing I can't finish in PP. Maybe I'll actually finish this damn story before Summer.
Have to go out of town next week for a *week long* session of teacher bullshit. A fucking week? Give me a break. Have to do another two day stint in Nashville next month, too, but at least I get paid for that one. Upcoming year is really going to be a crapshoot. Best and worst of both worlds.
Pick up English and AP English: Seniors are good (well, better), but there's actual stakes involved here.
Keep Freshman World History: Freshmen are alittle better than untamed animals, but I can phone it in every god damn day.
Oh, and I don't really want to teach english. Oh, and I have to move my classroom. Booger.
Oh, losing one of my planning periods kind of sucks, as does having to do twice as many lesson plans. Overall,. . . fuck them. Why the hell am I not teaching US History?
