I live in a land where panic and fear are the currency of modern life. There's a permanent barrage of stories of how much danger we are in; how bad things are going to be; what a terrible job Blair VIVA EL PRESIDENTE is doing. Perfect example today, someone mentions there might be some protests later in the week, they might try and blockade the refineries and hinder fuel distribution. TV gets hold of it and broadcasts messages of doom and gloom. 90% of the population rush out and fill their cars up. Some people spend hours queueing only to put 1/4 or less of a tank in. Why? The only reason that places are running out of petrol is because every Tom, Dick and Harry is filling up. And every Tom, Dick and Harry are only filling up because they have heard the garages are running out of petrol. Come on. I think it's all just a con to get people to spend more on petrol while it's expensive now. I hope tomorrow I find the world a bit less annoying.
