No matter what you end up doing, why is there always someone else who's done it before and feels they have to impart their wisdom on you and then expect you to be soooo gratefull and eternally in their debt? Just a general observation of family behaviour.
Saw some snow again this weekend! Went down the country and across to Norwich to see my brother. There was a bit of slush on the ground and about 2 inches of slush in the fields.
And today my thanks go out to Sir John Stevens for informing me how much danger I really am in. 200 trained Al-Qaeda on the streets of the UK. Wow, we'd better start locking some people up soon or we won't be able to move for poor innocent murdered people. "He looks like one of them there terrorismists, GET HIM!"
Is it really any different from that days of the IRA planting bombs in city centres? I think not. We will always have enemies, there will always be mentally unbalanced people wanting to kill us and disrupt our lives.
QUOTE: "The main opposition to the Bill, it seems to me, is from people who simply haven't understood the brutal reality of the world we live in and the true horror of the terrorism we face."
Yes but if we spend our lives in terror, that would mean terrorism is working. I agree we need to be cautious and can't just ignore the risks, but the chances of any harm actually coming to you must be so small, it's just not worth thinking about.
New health warning for cigarettes:
"You are 15 million times more likely to die from smoking these cigarettes than from a terrorist." and on the front in the big font they could put "Smoking Kills, Terrorism Doesn't".
