I hear about protestors saying "Stop the war". Apprently they are talking about the War in Iraq. The last thing I heard, there was no war. So how can they stop it?
I have completly mixed feelings about removing Mr Hussain from power. It was both right and wrong. Right because it stopped an oppressive dictator. Wrong because the oppressive dictator stopped civil war. You can either die for your freedom to claim independance, or claim your independence and die. Either way you die. Either way the person that is in charge will look like a murderer.
On a plus side, the billions of dollars in repair works to mend the infrastructure the 'coallition' destroyed will keep many coallition countries in work for years. So apart from a few hundred thousand poor people dieing, everyone wins.
If nothing had happened, a few hundred thousand poor people would have died as a result of the trade sanctions imposed by the UN.
In the end, it's the same story. The rich get richer. The poor either get killed, or are so thnkfull for still being alive they don't mind the fact that they are poorer than when the author started scripting the current episode.
