Well its been a while since I've had a chance to get back here. My roommate knows just enough about computers to be dangerous and her boyfriend is even worse. From fragmented and ever changing stories I've been told, apparently he was poking around on a couple of 'warez' sites looking for a copy of Brutus or a cracked version of sentinel. What he got instead was 2 Trojans, 3 netdevils, and a nasty version of the msblaster worm. I was not a happy camper when I got home. In the end it cost me my entire hard drive. The worm had gotten down so deep into dos that it was impossible to salvage the drive. So now I'm on a temp P.O.S. computer till I buy a new hard drive, copy of windows and a few other things. Actually I'm making him buy the stuff, which being the lazy jobless bastard that he is, it might take a while.
On a lighter note, after moving me around for a while I finally have a perm(maybe) department. So now instead of buffing I work in neck prep. From what I've been told, except for the day shift manager and one dayshift employee, I am the only guy to work in neck prep... ever. For some reason they thought I would have a problem working around very attractive women all day. Even though they are all married or dating I don't mind. At the risk of being called misogynistic or a
I will admit that all of the girls are attractive and several qualify as 'eye candy'. All that really matter though is that we get along and they are good people.
The only true shinning nugget of good news is that after the whole plant lost headphone/radio rights for the last few months, the crusade that was launched by myself and half of buffing finally succeeded in making them give us back our music. Well that and the fact that after they announced that due to OSHA we wouldn't get them back ever, 10 people quit...... they have a hard time keeping people there anyway and that hurt them a lot. I think if they didn't struggle to keep people like they do the pay wouldn't be so good.
Well time for me to catch up on the last month of updates I've missed
Acid.
P.S. If anyone is actually stopping by and reading my little rants, drop a comment and say hi or something.
