Well.. it has been an enlightening couple of days. By a chance click I stumbled onto a great site dealing with runes.
(..chance?....fate?... luck???..) As I'm sure I've noted before, my stint in (raised in it).... a certain 'mainstream' religion didn't last.... it never felt right... it never had any feeling. It was just a weekly ritual I was forced to observe. Well, while browsing the afforementioned rune site, I got a small feeling, and the more I studied into it, and it origin, and the religion surrounding it's practice... the stronger the feeling got. It was a feeling of.... belonging.... one of peace.... even. . . . . .. homecoming. I admit, heritage wise, I am a bit of a mutt, but the dominate portions are Germanic and Native American, with the balance being mainly Scottish, Irish, and a lil bit of the English as well. lol.. what a mix huh? To quote Robbin Williams "Not even a German geneticist could have thought that one up." lol.
As for my quest to find out the exact percentage and tribes I contain... that's on hold as I await replies from family members on both side who somewhat kept up with such things. It's looking to be mostly Cherokee, with some Blackfoot thrown in.
Anyway, I'm off to resume my runic studies, interspaced with breaks for sketching and drawing of course. hehe
