Well, the surgery is over.. at least this one is anyway.
Sadly, all did not go well.... rather than putting me under with general, they decided to do a nerve block. I said sure, why not.. well after they did their thing, I still felt them cut, sooo, they gave me more drugs, let them take hold, then continued, which I still felt, only slightly less, so they gave me even more drugs
and agian... finally they gave me a 4th dose, which was apparently, about all they safely could, and I finslly got to the, only feel pushing/pulling/pressure stage... 30 minute surgery, by the time they were done, the drugs were already wearing off. There are times that I enjoy my odd ability to come out from under almost any drug very quickly.... that was not one of those times.
But the best part.... I had to take out my piercings... all except my tongue and ears, they taped my ears, and I sweet talked the doc into lettin me keep the tongue, saying IF they did have to intubiate me for some reason, they could take it out. The moment I got to the car I started putting my jewelry back in, it had been out.. maybe a total of 3 hours.... the septum went in, barely, the lips.... no go.
even once I got home with a good mirror, so lube and everything else short of a needle.... they refuse to go in.
Now I'm gonna have to let the sit a week to finish, then have them redone. Granted the center needed it, but still... the only bright light in this dark tunnel is, sadly, that Jason might repierce them for tips. He did once tell me that any piercing reusing my jewelry he'd do for free if I tipped him... looks like I'll be taking him up on that in the near future, lol.
I'll be so glad when they get back from the store with my drugs.... this hurts like a bitch... no less than 5 times worse than it normally does...
mmmm drugs hehe.
A lighter note for those who care, I am in fact still drawing, albiet as a lefty now, hehe, if I had a functional scanner I'd post the horrors. Now I just gotta find some inspiration/collaboration for the design of mu future half sleeves. I'm thinking animals to compliment the ram on the left, and something Indian inspired for the right to celebrate that part of me... I dunno
All typing and such is, of course, being done left handed, and ambidexterous or not, I'm sure my spelling has suffered, so bear with me..
