Afternoon.
It's a beautiful day here in the Twin Cities area. 55 degrees; sunny, slight breeze. I just returned from my first bike ride of the year. I rode over the Mississippi River at the Coon Rapids Dam: http://www.anokacountyparks.com/parks/coon_rapids_dam_regional_park/about.html The water is as high as I have seen it in years. They have all of the dam locks open, the river is really surging. It is an awesome sight.
It is flood season here in Minnesota. There is no immediate danger here in the Minneapolis area. I feel sorry for this poor bastard, tho.

So the first bike ride of the Spring is always glorious, but also brings back a few bad memories. I am reminded that I will have to spend the next 7-8 months dodging imbeciles who have no sense of awareness and/or just have their head up their ass. Now, the trail I usually ride on is 12-15 wide and has a fucking yellow line down the middle but people still feel the need to just wander to and fro with their head in the clouds. I am talking about walkers, joggers, skaters, bladers, and bikers alike. Please STAY TO THE RIGHT, fuckers. When you are strolling nonchalantly down the center stripe and somebody behind you yells "ON YOUR LEFT" please do not: A) scream and throw up your hands; B) stop in your tracks like a deer in the headlights; or C) sprint forward, backward, or to the left as if your ass was on fire. The correct answer is: D) calmly step to the right, where you should be in the first fucking place. Throughout the summer I usually see the same assholes making these same errors in common sense, judgment, self-awareness, etc. I hope that some time this summer I won't have to "accidentally" puncture your ribs with one of my handlebars while biking at a 25mph clip.

EXCELLENT NEWS: The SG powers-that-be posted the new set by SG Goddess Rydell.
Their next step should be to approve the Pinkness of the lovely and amazing AmeTsuki, whose 2nd MR set went up last week. Please post your love for Elusive Tune

Funny that your journal should be about biking and people not staying on their side of the road. The last time I talked to Ray he was complaining about the same thing.
