Rod Stewart was cool in the '70s, ya know. A badass, even. He didn't always suck.
I remember being a kid in the summertime during the '70s, it was wonderful. I would leave the house at about 8am and not return until dinner. You and your friends would walk along the railroad tracks kicking bottles and crushing cans. Then it was off to go shoot hoops at the YMCA and ride to Blue Boy to chow down on those awesome frozen icee thingies. Then it was off to the field behind the Boys Home for a rousing afternoon of kite fighting. We would ride our bikes everywhere, it was unheard of for anybody to be dropped off by their parents. I did not know one obese kid, we were all thin as rails and happy as clams.
Those were the days.

I remember riding bikes. That was fun. I had this lame bike we got from the dump that had a bannana seat and those big high handle bars. That damn thing must have been at least twice as old as I was.
