Happy Birthday to Curtis Mayfield, who would have been 65 today. Curtis was one of the first musicians to sing about the drug issues in the inner city. His 1972 soundrack to the movie Superfly contained songs that were especially poignant. His community activism and social comment is sorely missed in today's world. Rest in peace, Curtis.
