Fixed. 
That br tag thing was one of those little bugs that pops up from time to time.. it wasn't in the original story, it wasn't there when I went to edit it, but when I publish the story, the link had a br tag tacked onto the end. To fix it, I just had to delete the link and retype it. Weird, eh?

Hah.. the "that that" was one of those cases where my brain skipped the repetition of the word and just saw one "that". Fixed now.
