So I got my taxes done last night. Not as bad as it could've been, but still not an enjoyable experience. I set up an appointment at H&R Block, asking to be the last person they see because I had to work till late and otherwise would have to leave early and lose money to go there. So I went, and when I was done, there was a line of people behind me and I imagine they didn't close till hours after I left. So I left work early yet again for nothing. I have to make up 2.5 hours now.
They also charged me $172, and that is with the gracious 10% discount they provided, for basically filling out a questionnaire. I'm sure I probably could've done this myself even with the extra complication of paying out and being an independent contractor and all my deductions. I just didn't have time
Not much else is new. If you Google the company I work for, a "cock up" picture shows up on the first page. I only know this because one of the owners did do a search and found it
No biggie, it was in my personal folder on an alternate domain so it can't be helped. I'm just gonna move it all to a private domain, though it will break links and stuff. I think there's over 1500 downloads of the video alone

I make a very decent salary but I have to still fill out the 1040-EZ form. I tried to file 1040-EZ form via e-file and found it cost me $20.00 to file via the internet. What a waste of money to pay for e-filing that takes 30 minutes to fill out.
