When one of your favorite people asks you to finally update I guess you oblige, except I still have absolutely nothing to say. My life has been wholly uninteresting the last couple of months and I have to say I'm quite satisfied with that.
My birthday is coming up soon. A friend of mine I met online 5 years ago turned 27 yesterday. I was 19 when I first met her. I'm not a fan of this time going faster the older you get thing.
All of my favorite TV shows have managed to jump the shark simultaneously.
For the first time since its inception, I'm not on the army points list. However I now also have a comped account until March 2007. Next month will be my 2 year anniversary on this site, and most of that was free.
This new background makes me think I'm floating above a casino floor.
Speaking of which, I took up tournament Texas hold'em a few months ago. I am now good enough to consistently make money at it, yet I'm also starting to lose interest. This follows my usual pattern of learning something new, getting good at it, then getting bored with it.
Everything is pretty much back to normal after the hurricane, except most of the traffic lights are still gone, my satellite dish required a pretty hi-tech fix, and the entire landscape of my area is completely weird and different now without the trees.
I want to take one more trip to round out my jet set year. After visits to Portland, New York, and San Francisco, LA seems to be the only place with a high concentration of awesome that is also complimentary to my weather requirements.
