I think I officially became old a couple weeks ago. It happened innocently enough, I was looking into some tax stuff since I have both 10-99s and W2s to fill out this year in two states, one of which has a seperate state income tax. And I somehow slipped into reading about tax deferments and thought seriously about opening a Roth IRA. That's right, a fucking retirement account.

And it was at that moment, and yes, I even screenshot it for posterity...



...that moment when those "planning for the rest of your life" thoughts occupy your mind where the simpler more carefree "just living" thoughts used to live, that you realize you're officially one of the grownups now.

26...damn. Nobody tells you when you're young that life is an exponential curve.
