I got in an argument with a girl tonight because she thought that the board game catch phrase would cost more to replace than the carpeting of her apartment. This basically started because i was bored as shit at this party and was tossing some of the catch phrase cards to my buddy (who was about five feet away) so he could read them. She walked out and started screaming at us about how the cards were being ruined and they couldn't be replaced. I calmly said "I gurantee you can get a whole new game for under 30 bucks," to which she got mad and asked me to prove it to her right there. So i went over to the computer and looked it up. Could get a brand new catch phrase game for about 15 dollars. I just laughed when i told her, than asked if she really thought that was worth more worrying about than the carpet she had spilled several mixed drinks on. She believed (for some reason i will never understand) that replacing the carpet would cost more. So i looked that up too. lol. New carpet cost between 1600 and 2000 dollars on average. New Catch Phrase game... 15. So she kicked us out.... which i was perfectly fine with because i was looking for an excuse to leave. But i just couldn't believe that she was that stupid and got that worked up about circular pieces of paper which were completely undamaged. It just made me laugh.
