dangerous, this humanity
and so fleeting
so fragile
hearts and heads shatter
splatter
squish
a neck to be kissed
caressed
to be adored
snapped
limbs to hold and
and to give
to squirm with
tossed aside with the trash
that one
violence
pain
fear and hatred
for what?
for humanity
this one
love and compassion
passion and trust
human, not quite
but close.
