The world is ending. Western civilization hasnt got fifty years to go. Yes, the end of the world, as we know it. I think it might be time to start packing away our books and ideas into safe, dry bunkers, buried deep underground so that future archaeologists will know something about us. What we were. What we tried to be. Of course wed have to leave a note for them with the books and music and so on so that they might know our purpose in leaving them. Or, we could just include notes in every load of garbage we send to a dump. I mean current archaeologists love finding the waste dumps of ancient civilizations. There is so much to be learned in garbage. Perhaps if we just leave nice notes to the future archaeologists, they will understand that we cared, and that we did the same as them. There is so much confusion over past civilizations because they only thought of themselves. This is something we can do now, for the future. For our future and theirs. Something simple to help make sense out of well - nothing.
