Home is a place where you have to encounter the self you were before you left and walk side-by-side with them. Where ex-boyfriends haunt your friends cell phones and downtown hangouts. Where you half expect everyone to rewind to where they were and either forget the new drama or revive the old, like reruns on TV.
Hometown, I want to be able to TiVo you. I want to fast forward through the filler to get to my favorite episodes. I want to record the stuff that matters and ignore the other crap. I want to pause live life at awkward moments and skip to the good stuff.
