I've Given In
and done two things. The first is I joined Facebook, the glorious online yearbook-meets-myspace where I can look up all those people in high school I remember but am not close enough with to stay in touch. When I saw with horror that many of my sweet innocent friends from 8th grade had gone to so-cal schools and befriended sorority girl skanks, I was saddened. Maybe I shouldnt have joined and just wondered til the 20 yr reunion. Ug.
The second is I've started watching the O.C. with Alohra. Of course I have a million dumb questions cause I have to catch up on all the drama since i last (and first) watched the show with O.C enthusiast lessthanthree. That was such a long time ago. We all need a guilty pleasure I suppose.
Also, I'm homesick. I'm entertaining fantasies of going home for the summer where dear friends who stay in one place are plentiful and the potential for finding a job is greater. I already have an interview signed up. But the man is thinking about coming here this spring so I'd live with him during the summer, which would make me blissfully happy ... I guess its the prospect of unemployment looming in my peripheral vision that making me yearn for Stupidville, by hometown. *Sigh.* I guess i should just roll with it and cover my bases. Both choices would be good ones. I just miss eneryone.
