a little girl at preschool likes to sing that. Her mom says its like some kind of magickal incantation she sings, even when its not raining. 2 1/2 year olds are so cool.

in my town we have these gray days, that trick me into thinking I'm somewhere near the coast. The gray seems like fog that should burn off, leaving me with another balmy oceanic socal day. then I remember that im in
valley hell and that the gray only means its gonna rain on me. But its a nice fantasy. I like the way the misty gray sky makes me feel enclosed, like im in my own world. (a world where i live in Del Mar, that is). Its nice to entertain these fantasies while walking from the bus stop to work.
