Insane weather day here in Seattle: thunderstorms, 60mph gusts, sunny, rainy, cat & dogs, you name it! 1 1/2 hours it took me to get home! This, mind you, is on average a 20 minute commute. Accidents etc. blah blah held up traffic. You'd think that for as often as it rains around here, people would have a better grasp on the basics of driving over wet pavement. Nope. They don't.

I work on what is call the "Eastside." An appropriate if unimaginative name because it's, well, on the Eastside of Lake Washington, across from Seattle.

I lot of the work I do is for this fellow:

Now before you going booing and hissing me or Mr. Gates here, I do not work directly for his company, but with them on various contracts. Let's face it folks, if it wasn't for Microsoft, Seattle would be in a world of financial shit! Myself very much included. I do the goofy little commuter thing, puttering over the 520 bridge each morning and afternoon. Work on my 'puter and head back home. It's not bad. I mountains, water, and sunsets and sunrises. Probably one of the nice metropolitan commutes in the lower 48.

No point here really I guess. I just had a bit of time to think about it while I was sitting in traffic...

A poem for you(not by me, but still for you):

Breakfast At McDonald's

When the girl behind the counter
says, "May I take your order?"
I look at her sweet smile
and think, "Coffee and a blow job."
I glance up at the menu quickly
and say, "A sausage and egg biscuit."
Sometimes the words that come
out of my mouth amaze me.

Hey 'pocus how are you doing? The weather on this end has been really great the last few days. I took a few days off and worked around my house AND worked on recapturing my sanity.
Aside from having to avoid lousy drivers on a rainy day, sounds to me that you don't have a bad job at all smile Good for you! Have a nice day.
