Er... Things are pretty good I suppose. Job's good. Social life is looking up, and the weather is getting warmer round these parts. I'm trying to plan out a nice cheap trip for the summer. I was thinking of taking a few days off and go on a little tour of some Ghost Towns here in the NW...just a thought, but it could happen. (Quick warning about that "Ghost Towns" link - they have possibly the most fucking irritating music you will ever hear! and it NEVER ends!...but otherwise I like the site biggrin ).

My dog farts a lot...and always right when he sits down.

i-Pod has now gotten me into Shriekback again - makes me long for my old Gang of Four albums, and actually ALL my vinyl sitting back in NJ frown

Exercises in Style

"Exercises in Style was inspired by a work of the same name by the French writer Raymond Queneau. In that book, Queneau spun 99 variations out of a mundane, two-part text about two chance encounters with a mildly irritating character during the course of a day. He started by telling it in every conceivable tense, then by doing it in free verse and as a sonnet, as a telegram, in pig latin, as a series of exclamations, in an indifferent voice… you name it. The goal of this project is to apply the same principle to comics by creating as many variations as possible on a simple one-page non-story: different points of view, different genres, different formal games, and so on."

- too cool

i didnt know about that group, thanks. i dont really know that much about this site, really. initially, i was just being a pervert...haha...but its been sadly exciting to actually see people talking about the music i like and having conversations beyond the college town inevitable "lets get fucked up and have sex and do drugs". maybe im old & boring. when did you make the transition to the west coast? im sure that was even more of a culture shock.
