yes, i've been away for a few days; my real life does demand attention from time to time, you know. the new year is going well for me, and i hope for all of you too.
in the last week i've viewed the following films:
kid galahad (bette davis is fantastic)
mystic river (awful movie, but good acting)
an american in paris (fun if you're in the mood for a musical)
bamboozled (good but harrowing)
the kids are alright (in case you didn't know, i love the who)
intolerable cruelty (funny and light and indulgent, like meringue)
the thirty-nine steps (hitchcock is the best. of course i've seen this movie about thirty-nine times, but i still love it.)
other than that, i've been going to school and trying to stay warm amidst the cold and the ice and the snow.
i'll try to peek in more often in the next few days. xoxo
