Lagwagon tonight. Its been a while since a US punk pand was here...Sick Of it All maybe, and that was fucken great. Interviewed the band then went to the show burnt one down with Armand and then off to Dennys? to drink too much beer, once again Armand was the only that indulged. But Lou was a cool man, had an interesting chat about 911 and NYC post that event. Unfortunately we don't get to IV Lagwagon so we'll just have to enjoy the show. Also a NZ band is playing in anamazing old theatre called the Ambassador in Pt Chevalier. Gramsci. Can I do both?
Hey and Summer is coming! And so to is Tokyo at the end of November. Excellent, can't wait! A friend Chelsea lives there and is working as a hostess so I'm keen to find out what happens in that world!
As Xmas is coming I was talking to my friend Simon's girl who is from Hungary and how vastly different NZ Xmas is to her home. First of all its snowing and religion and tradition holds a stronger hold. NZ is so casual and hot that xmas ends up being more of a celebration of season than a hoily holiday. Timmy was telling us how they give gifts but earlier in the month (Dec 1) but only items like chocolates, then they feast over three days later in the month with family, watching telly (xmas programs like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer) and singing songs...it sounded interesting. I'd love to spend xmas somewhere vastly different sometime, both as far as culture and climate.
have a rollicking weekend sgs. biggrin
