ablaze

Went to Welly yesterday. Great cos AWKland had shit eather and it was beautiful in Welly...thats one cool city, easy to get lost though, as I found out after stumbling around for an hour, quite a good walk though despite no music!
Maharangi Tocker and Shona Laing's version of 'Home, Land & Sea' was incredible! I mean that song originally done by Trinity Roots and Fat Freddy's Drop 'Hope' it must be said are the most stirring NZ songs ever. There I said it!
Today it was shit in Wellington and then Auck was clear a brilliant. I wish you could change towns/cities/countries when the weather didn't quite suit your mood; ideally I guess that would mean its 25degrees and sunny with zero humidity and occassional rain (sunshowers!).
Memory is ok when you don't have to deal with the past.
I just saw Before Sunrise, the sequel to Before Sunset, what a film. Richard Linklater can tell a really sweet love story without it being cloying or ham-fisted, and superbly acted. Plus Nina Simone to close! I haven't seen Before Sunrise but if this sequel (9years later) is anything to go by, I'm sold. He did Dazed and Confused as well right? Funny film in an updated Revenge of the Nerds way. And Mila.
