If you could speak any language what would it be, and why?

OK, feeling better then puke but still not 100%

So now I go driving down to the beach to spend the night with a hottie I have just started seeing. wink While I help her sit a friends kid. Being an uncle does rock. smile

I am so hoping I am healthy enough to be able to go out Saturday for bowling. smile smile smile smile

I think it has been a couple weeks since I was able to really go out and have fun.... evil cold. frown

So I found this while sick... Damn decent humor page. I would have put up some links for it here, but the damn things are to big to fit. frown All the same there are some damn funny ones.

I got to do something I have never done before today... go to a prof while still a little sick and talk her into letting me take an exam I missed late. smile Now if I can talk her into not deducting any points from it. biggrin

i think i'd choose either dutch or finnish because they're mostly pointless to learn but they sound cool... and they have all those crazy spellings and stuff. i'm all about pointless knowledge. w00t. seriously, though, what language am i going to choose if i already know german and spanish? certainly not french. *spits in distaste* *grin*
anyhow... it's fun having you on my list of amigospeople. have a rockin' day/week/hour/non-descript period of time.

I've asked before what 5 languages people would want to know... I guess because I'd have a hard time settling on one. I studied Spanish from elementary school to college... but am way out of practice on it. I suppose it is the most utilitarian/ practical language to know in America today, besides English. But I would love to know Icelandic... I really want to visit there. And I'd love to know Russian; I think it is slightly sexier than French... but I do like a lot of French movies... it'd be nice to know especially when you're watching a Godard film where there's more than one (French-language) voice going on at once. Japanese would just be totally cool, too.
Hah... (I'm really drunk now, right now)... uhh, I'd have to say right now, my choice would be Russian, but that could change tomorrow (btw, this is not to suggest that Russians are drunks, although when asked by Oprah how she could drink 12 Long Island Iced Teas, Oksana Baiul replied, "I'm Russian".... I am part-Scottish, so if I wanted to pick a drunken language, I could just as easily say Scottish- Gaelic, a language known by approximately 1 million people, according to 2004 World Almanac).
