"What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?"
Oh god.
This is actually a really deep seeded one, that makes me cringe to this day, about 13 years later.
When I was a kid, I was homeschooled by radical christians, I was bullied relentlessly by all of the boys in my neighborhood, and even a few of the girls.
I wasn't anything special, I was an awkward 11 year old with hair as wide as I was tall, who had just gained a ton of weight and my grandmother was a cat hoarder, so I was fucking weird on every possible level.
One night, my friends and their brothers wanted to see a movie, so a parent took us but there wasn't enough room, so we piled onto laps in the back seat..
Of course I was stuck sitting on the lap of one of the boys who bullied me the most!
I was so embarrassed, I didn't know what to do..
So I started apologizing!
For what? for everything!
But mostly for being so fat.
I said I was sorry for a good 45 minutes.
and they giggled and laughed the whole time.
I tried to block it out because it was so mortifying, but it still haunts me.
WHAT WAS I THINKING?!
