Lessons from last night:

I ran into a friend tonight while coming home that I haven't seen in eight years.

It was fun times ... I used to hang out with her almost daily and ... then she up and disappeared.

Turns out she was in Hamilton for eight years and just moved back to Toronto a little while ago.

I remember last year, I made a conscious effort to fix some of the issues people had with me (and being in theatre school, there was pretty much a rag-on-me fest the last week before summer. My roomie opened up, and because I knew he meant well, I didn't take it personal, but then everyone else dumped everything on me) So I came back with a new mindset and the people who were difficult still were, and even though some people actually noticed and commented on my changes, they didn't seem to have any sort of effect. (Now theres a part of me that wants to chime in that I resolved not to change for anyone elses benefit, and instead to try and change situations and people to what I need, but I wont wink )

I agree with you in general, and actually don't grasp why he hadn't gone to a doctor. He's 18 though and hell..I had just gotten laid for the first time probably 6 months beforte this kid decided to ask if anyone else has this issue. I mean...hes probably living with his parents, and is completely intimidated in going to his parents with it. Your a little further along in life..physically, emotionally, finacially..all that.


I agree that he ought to have done somethign about it by now, but when somebody gets the balls to come out and seek help...mocking them only makes the situation worse. He handled it..its not a big deal. I was just really suprised to see somebody jump him like that. I tend to over react
