everyone has an agenda, the only way to "escape" the bias is by doing your own research. never blindly believe something someone says, and make the authors of the books and articles you read and the news shows you watch earn your trust. fact is, the state of politics in this country is embarrasing. watching the bickering, the stupid shit that gets on the news, its just pathetic. I try to make it all funny, its easier that way. If I didnt have the Daily Show and Al Franken, I'd go insane.
as for the funds for the "war" in iraq, I think its disgusting the amount of money we are wasting on this stupid little errand from the president. but you know whats even more disgusting? all the money that is being spent on safty for bush during the innaguration when that money could be going to giving troops the proper armor. if you send men into a battle, you give them proper protection, or you dont send them at all. its just wrong to be so careless with other people's lives.
personally, I'd have been totally for not going into iraq, but instead using the moeny to improve our schools or help the poor and the economy, or to pay back the massive debt bush has incurred.
