So now we can use this site to find dates ... man, and I was worried I was going to have to grow a personality ...
So, the news as it is:
I am officially a rockstar because I helped turn a vote for Bush into a vote for Kerry this fall. This person is part of the bible belt scary folk. I grew up in the heart of evil (a.k.a. the Midwest christian home), so most of the people I knew and grew up with are scary people. I love them because they are still my friends, but there are few I can discuss politics with, and I finally converted one! Its great to see someone who works inside of reason finally say "I don't want to believe", because at that point, that meant they were thinking outside of reason, making them vulnerable to the truth. What a beautiful thing, to help someone see the light. Hehehe, see the light, get it, its a christian joke ... god I'm lame today.
Anyways, nothing else is life is special right now, I'm afraid I am getting a cold, due to the fact that my sister's boyfriend is getting a cold, and when you are sharing joints all day on Sunday, there is a good chance you are sharing your germs, alas, I shall suffer now.
My friend Mariel called yesterday, that poor girl and her family. She called because her brother-in-law committed suicide. Now, as much as I would like to believe I am not scared of death, I am. And as hard as I try to understand suicide, I can't. Perhaps I just haven't ever felt real depression (which I think is a lie, I'm certain I have), but how can you be so depressed that killing yourself seems like a viable option? It frustrates me to no end that people believe killing themselves will make the world easier, its just a selfish cop-out. Now what really sucks is that the guy's wife, my friends sister, is bi-polar and has manic episodes now and then. Did he even for one second think of what would happen to her? Of course not. Foolish foolish minds.
On a lighter note, I am happy to be alive and in love with life. Breathe deep, for life never felt so rich.
