Steak last night, god damn steak is good. I should eat steak at least once a day. That was the best part about growing up in Nebraska, first, it was the best steak, and second, there was lots of it and it was a whole hell of a lot cheaper there. Here, I pay 20 bucks for a nice sirloin, but the sad fact is that it doesn't even compare to a crapy steak in Nebraska that costs half as much. God I miss that. But I am a bit picky when it comes to steak, I've actually slaughtered a cow before. I loved working on the ranch.
So with the steak last night, we had bourbon, and some nice bourbon at that. An $82 bottle of bourbon to be exact. It was a beauty, you would drink it, and about 10 minutes later it would cause an adrenaline rush. Not to mention the huge volume of alchohol in it. The stuff was older than I am, and it was a beautiful thing. I love alchohol nerds. This girl Kelly was sitting there just smelling it and telling me what it was flavored with, and was really turning nerd on me, it was funny. The wine we had was also anylized, which is something I can do a little bit. Mmmm, good drinks, and good steaks. We also had sauteed mushrooms that had been sauteed in bacon fat that was left over from cooking the bacon that went into the hashbrowns .... mmmm, bacon. Then we also had asparagus, which was also damn tasty, seared on a cast iron grill. Food is the best thing that ever happened to this world. My goal is to die a happy fat man!

Damn!! Your making me hungry!!! Next time you kill a cow on the farm, I'd like a nice cut of fillet mignon and if it's still warm no need to cook it!!!
